Individual Artists of Oklahoma Call for Interns –

Individual Artists of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking qualified applicants for the positions of:

 

Gallery InternThe Gallery Intern reports directly to the Executive Director and is focused on the day to day operations and programming of IAO Gallery, located on Historic Film Row. The Gallery Intern will help the director in communications with artists, installation of exhibitions, event logistics, and administrative duties related to gallery operations. The goals of this internship are to prepare candidates to work in a professional arts environment and broaden experience for emerging artists and art professionals.


Arts Administration InternThe Administration Intern reports directly to the Executive Director and is focused on the administration and programming of IAO Gallery, located on Historic Film Row. The Administration Intern will help the director in administrative duties related to gallery operations, including donor recruitment, communication with committees, and program management. The goals of this internship are to prepare candidates to work in a professional administrative environment and teach management and communication skills to young professionals.


Marketing Intern - The Marketing Intern will help the director in promotions via media and social media, building data, communication with members and volunteers, and administrative duties related to gallery operations. The goals of this internship are to prepare candidates to work in a professional environment and teach marketing skills to young professionals. 

 

Students in Fine Art (visual, performing, etc.), Art History, Museum Studies, Non-Profit/Art Administration and Marketing/Mass Communications are encouraged to apply.

 

 Requirements:


-Some experience and knowledge of Word, Excel and Adobe Creative Suites

-Basic knowledge of art forms and practices

-Interns typically commit to approximately 10 hours per week.

The internships are unpaid, but can offer school credit and run 3-5 months depending upon the availability and goals of the candidate.
